After you have made a backup of all the important data, emails and files, you can delete your Google account through the following steps:
Step 1: Go to your Google account home page.
Step 2: Click on ‘Data and personalization’ from the left side of the screen and then scroll down.
Step 3: Now, click on ‘Delete a service or your account’, from the section ‘Download, delete, or make a plan for your data’.
Step 4: On the next page, click on ‘Delete your account’.
Step 5: You will be required to enter your Google password.
Step 6: Then, you will have to check the boxes with final acknowledgments and then select ‘Delete account’.

Steps to save data before deleting a Google account:
Before you delete your account, make sure you make a copy of the data you need to preserve. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your Google account dashboard and click on ‘Download your data’.
Step 2: In case you do not wish to save the data from a specific Google site, clear the checkmark for that item and then click on ‘Next Steps’.
Step 3: Choose how you want to get the data – such as via email or delivered to a Dropbox location – and then click “Create archive.”
What Happens When You Delete Your Google Account:
When you delete your Google account, you lose access to all your content stored in your account. This includes your contacts, photos, files, calendars, and everything else associated with your account.
You also can’t log in to any device with your Google account. Any subscriptions you’ve purchased with your Google account will also be lost. If you use a Chromebook, you’ll have to use a different account to log in to the device as you will not be able to use your deleted account on it.
Once your Google account is deleted, you may not be able to get it back. So, make a backup of your Google content before you proceed to delete your account.
