India Mobile Congress 2023: Telecom Company Launches Jio Space Fiber with 1 GBPS Speed; All You Should Know

Indian Mobile Congress 2023: Jio has launched a new internet technology which is named "Jio Space Fiber" by the telecom company. The newly introduced technology is India's first satellite-based gigabit broadband service. The new launch is aimed at providing internet services to the remote region of the country at high speed.

As per the company's press release, Reliance Jio introduced this new technology at the Indian Mobile Congress on Friday. Jio Fiber is soon to be available throughout the country. The company will provide the service at highly affordable prices. The new broadband technology aims to achieve digital inclusivity in the country

Who Will Benefit?

In order to test the capabilities of Jio Space Fiber, the service is already made available for some of the country's highly remote areas which include Gir in Gujarat, Nabarangpur in Odisha, Korba in Chhattisgarh and ONGC- Jorhat in Assam.

Which Satellite to Be Used for Jio Space Fiber

Jio has made use of satellite manufactured by a Luxembourgish Telecom Network Provider, SES. This satellite will provide internet connectivity to each and every corner of the country.

Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, addressed the launch event, saying, " Jio has enabled millions of homes and businesses in India to experience broadband internet for the first time. With JioSpaceFiber, we expand our reach to cover the millions yet to be connected".

Ambani also said, "JioSpaceFiber will allow everyone, everywhere, to fully participate in the new digital society with gigabit access to online government, education, health, and entertainment services".
