Instagram: Users may now create artificial intelligence (AI) story backgrounds using Instagram‘s latest feature. Instagram users located in the United States were first given access to Meta’s generative AI-powered background modification tool on Wednesday. Read on to learn more about the feature.
Instagram will now let users swap image backgrounds
Instagram has released a little video demonstrating the functionality of the feature. This means that users can take any picture from their phone and alter the background of the image for the story by using prompts.
How to use it?
The US is currently seeing the rollout of the new AI backdrop tool. We do anticipate Instagram rolling it out in additional regions shortly, though. But when the functionality is live, the Instagram Story layout will include a new “backdrop” button at the top. Users can enter the prompt to create an image background by tapping on that to begin using the feature.
In addition, after the story is shared, a “Try it” sticker will be placed, enabling other users to tap it and experience this new feature for themselves.
