The catastrophic incident occurred at the launchpad situated on the scenic Kii peninsula. This site was chosen for its strategic location and favourable weather conditions. As spectators and stakeholders looked on with anticipation, the Kairos rocket ignited its engines and began liftoff. However, moments later, disaster struck as the rocket veered off course and erupted into a massive fireball leaving the launchpad in flames.

Solid Fuel Changes
When compared to the conventional rockets of mainstream space organizations. The SpaceOne's Kairos is powered by solid fuel. For those who are unaware, Rockets powered by solid fuel have advantages such as simplicity and reduced cost, but they are also more prone to catastrophic failures. Flaws in the propellant loading process may have led to imbalances in the burning fuel which resulted in the explosion.
Launch Vehicle Immaturity
As it was the Kairos rocket's first-ever launch, it was by nature riskier. Apart from this, not all possible problems were possibly found under the intense pressures of the launch, even with the most thorough pre-launch testing. Any of the several rocket systems, from navigation to engine separation, might have malfunctioned setting off a series of events that ultimately resulted in the explosion.
