On August 20, Lava is introducing its launch of the first gaming-centric smartphone, Play Ultra 5G, in India. The device is expected to be below 20,000 and combines a Dimensity 7300 processor, 120Hz AMOLED, 64MP AI Matrix camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The smartphone features a glass back with a huge square camera bump that further contributes to its daring design. Leaked renders depict the phone in a Dark Blue and a White color scheme, and it will give users a lot of style options. Core Lava Play Ultra 5G will operate on MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, with UFS 3.1 storage that supports faster performance. Lava will also add a Gameboost Mode to enhance the gameplay process and ensure that no one has trouble in the game, even during those tiring sessions. The Lava Play Ultra 5G is expected to feature a 64MP AI Matrix Camera, utilising the Sony IMX682 sensor. In addition to providing extra lenses, the arrangement enables the phone to capture clear and high-quality images, making it suitable for both gaming and photography.

The phone features a 5,000mAh battery capacity and 33W fast charging, allowing users to extend their playing sessions and easily recharge the phone when it is depleted.

Lava has yet to announce the exact pricing officially, but reports indicate the phone will cost less than 20,000 rupees. The Play Ultra 5G will directly challenge iQOO and Realme, two successful brands in the gaming smartphone segment, with these specs.
