Madhav Sheth Bids Farewell to Realme, A New Journey Is About To Begin!

Realme: After five years, Madhav Sheth has formally left Realme as CEO of Realme India, VP of Realme, and President of Realme International Business Group. He played a crucial role in the brand’s expansion into India. On Wednesday, Sheth made his departure from the company known via his official Twitter account. According to some rumours, Sheth is expected to work for Honour, a rival manufacturer of mobile devices that may reopen its Indian operations.

Madhav Sheth’s Departure from Realme Marks the Beginning of a New Journey

“Goodbye can be disheartening, but world is too small until we meet again. Farewell for now, but our paths may cross again soon, and that’s something to look forward to building a better and bigger me,” Sheth announced on Twitter. Sheth allegedly departed Realme to begin a “new journey”. Ski Li will lead Realme India’s operations going forward, Sheth has stated. Sheth formally resigned from Realme, but he will remain a strategic advisor to the mobile device manufacturer.

BBK Electronics’ Strategic Decision to Separate OnePlus, Oppo, and Realme in India’s Smartphone Market

This move comes shortly after Chinese tech giant BBK Electronics, which is also the parent company of Realme, chose to separate Indian handset manufacturers OnePlus, Oppo, and Realme. According to a recent Economic Times report, the IT giant is trying to reduce the risk associated with its India operation. Sales for the three smartphone OEMs will be recorded in their own books. All three handset manufacturers’ distribution and sales were formerly handled by Oppo Mobiles India. Soon, local Indian contract manufacturers are likely to work with smartphone giants OnePlus and Realme. Chinese manufacturers dominate the Indian smartphone industry, according to statistics from market intelligence firm Counterpoint statistics. BBK Electronics’ Vivo, Oppo, and Realme, as well as Xiaomi, account for roughly half of all sales. Samsung, a major South Korean technology company, holds a 20% stake.
