Motorola has announced that the Edge 50 Pro smartphone will debut in India on April 3.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro: The Motorola Edge 50 Pro’s official launch date in India is set for April 3, ending speculation among tech aficionados over when the company’s next smartphone will be released in the nation. Motorola has already stated that Flipkart, the company website, and a few physical stores will be the outlets for the launch of its next smartphone. In this article, we will tell you all you need to know about the smartphone before it launches.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro expected specs

The company has verified a 6.7′′ 1.5K 144Hz curved pOLED display validated by Pantone. It will feature HDR 10+, have a peak brightness of up to 2000 nits, and be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
There will be three Pantone-curated colour options for the phone. Previous speculations stated that the phone will have an IP68 rating, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with 12GB of RAM, and a 4,500 mAh battery that supports both 50W and 125W wired charging.

Together with a 50MP back camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera with macro capability, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 50x hybrid zoom, it will also include AI adaptive stabilisation, autofocus tracking, tilt mode, and an AI photo enhancement engine. The manufacturer claims that this is the first camera in the world to be approved by Pantone to capture accurate colours as they should be.

Expected price and competition in India

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is probably going to cost less than Rs 35,000. If it is launched in India under Rs 35,000 then it is expected to compete fiercely with the Nothing Phone 2.
