Nothing Phone 1 vs iPhone 14: It’s that time of the year again! The new iPhones are out in the market and, like always, they have been pretty successful in creating a disruption with something new : The dynamic island. Yes, that’s the new kind of notch seemingly integrated with applications to provide a more smooth and eye-soothing experience. But, how does it rank with an Android mobile that made its entry two months back.

There were several highlights of the phone which made it stand out, but, how does it compete with ‘THE’ iPhones? The first and key difference is the price tag of the phones. However, we will come on to that later, let’s first compare the features of both the devices.

It is easily assumable that both the phones actually feel ‘premium’ in hand. Nothing Phone 1 has 6.55″b FHD+ Display with 120 Hz refresh rate while the iPhone 14 plus has 6.7″ OLED Display with 120 Hz refresh rate.
Nothing Phone 1’s design is surely talk of the town as it has a transparent back with a mechanism that shows a patterned light whenever you receive a notification, call, or anything else. It has straight metal frames with a glossy finish. While, the iPhone 14 has a clean and simple back panel with camera bumps and a shining logo of Apple at the centre.

Nothing Phone 1 has a punch-hole display while the iPhone 14 has a notch in the centre and the peak model has a pill-shaped notch design.
Nothing Phone 1 vs iPhone 14: Operating system and chipset
Nothing Phone 1 runs on Android v12 with the company’s custom UI on top while the iPhone 14 runs the latest version of iOS (16). Nothing features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus and a 2.5 GHz octa-core processor with Adreno 642L GPU and IP53 rating. The iPhone 14 has a Apple Bionic A15 chip and a 3.22 GHz Hexa core processor with Apple 4 core GPU and IP68 Rating.

Nothing 1 has dual cameras on its back which read 50-megapixels and come with 4K video recording and dual flash while on the front it has a punch-hole 16 MP camera with screen flash. Other camera features on the Nothing 1 include OIS and EIS Image Stabilisation, Night Mode Panorama, Portrait Mode, Beauty Mode, Bokeh, HDR, Google Filter, Scene Detection, Live Photo, Document Mode, Night mode, Extreme Night Mode, Night Video, Expert Mode, Panorama, Slow-Mo (120 fps), Timelapse, 114° Field of View.
iPhone 14 has three cameras on the back which read 48-megapixels. It also supports 4K video recording and has a dual LED flash. It also features 12 MP f/1.9 (TrueDepth) with Retina Flash. Other camera features include Panorama, Night Mode, Deep Fusion, Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, Burst Mode, Photo Geotagging
Nothing Phone 1 vs iPhone 14: Memory and Connectivity
Nothing Phone comes with the following options: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB Memory, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB Memory, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB Memory. However, the iPhones have an edge on this aspect. Though the RAM on iPhone is 6 GB but the variants with the storage uptill 1 TB are available. The user experience of iOS surely guarantees an over-the-top experience even with lesser RAM.
Both the devices support 5G and have Volte feature. Nothing 1 has a Bluetooth v5.2 while the iPhone 14 has Bluetooth v5.3. iPhone 14 has a face unlock feature while the Nothing 1 has an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and face unlock as well.
Nothing Phone 1 vs iPhone 14: Battery
The Nothing Phone 1 has 4500 mAh, Li-Po Battery with 33W fast charging and 15W Qi wireless charging while the iPhone 14 has 4325 mAh Li-on Battery with fast charging support and 15W Magsafe quick charging.
Other features:
Nothing Phone 1 does not feature water resistance and iPhone 14 is highly water resistant. Nothing 1 also comes with Expandable RAM, Glyph Interface, Sony IMX766, Nothing OS, and the iPhone 14 has Satellite connectivity and crash detection.
Both the devices have dual sim support. While the Nothing 1 can accommodate Nano + Nano Sim card, the iPhone can feature a Nano + eSim. Nothing 1 weighs 193.5 gram and is 8.3 mm thick, while the latter weighs 203 gram and is 7.8 mm thick.
Nothing Phone 1 vs iPhone 14: Price
The Nothing 1 begins with Rs 32,999 and can go up to Rs 38,999 for the peak model while the iPhone 14 starts from Rs 79,899 and the peak variant can go up to with Rs. 1,39,900.
