Samsung: According to reports in the media, South Korean tech giant Samsung will supply the majority of the OLED displays for the Apple iPhone 14 series. The leading OLED display supplier for the iPhone 14 series has changed and Samsung has taken over.

Due to its Display’s dominant position and the setbacks of rivals LG Display and BOE, the business is supplying more than 70% of the OLED panels that Apple utilizes for its iPhone 14 series.
For the iPhone 14, Apple would likely use more than 120 million OLED displays, of which 80 million will presumably come from Samsung, 20 million from LG Display, and another 6 million from BOE, a big Chinese display manufacturer. The two entry-level models of Apple’s latest iPhones use low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) thin-film transistor (TFT) OLED displays, while the two higher-end models have low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) TFT OLED panels.
While LG provides LTPS for the standard 6.1-inch iPhone 14 model and LTPO for the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max model, all four iPhone 14 series models use Samsung Display’s OLED technology. Additionally, BOE offers LTPS for the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 model.
LG recently became Apple’s Supplier
Recall that Apple just recruited a new display source in addition to its longtime panel supplier Samsung for the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Two weeks ago, another south Korean tech giant ‘LG’ was named as the replacement display provider for iPhone 14 Pro versions.
According to a rumor, LG has begun supplying the iPhone maker with OLED panels for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, taking over from South Korean tech giant Samsung, which had previously been the only provider of displays for both models.
