Snapchat is now available for Windows users, all you should know

Snapchat: The picture-sharing and instant messaging software Snapchat has resisted arriving on Windows, but it has officially made its debut on the Microsoft Store as a Progressive Web App.

How to use Snapchat on Windows?

Through the Microsoft Store, The app will be available on the Windows operating system. The Progressive Web App (PWA) for the social media platform would function through Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems. Based on Snap’s web application and powered by Microsoft Edge, a Chromium-based browser.

On their Windows laptops, Snapchat PWA users will be able to view stories, access messages, and receive notifications. Users can download the PWA version of the app for free from the Microsoft Store, just like they can with the current web version of it.

In July, the firm introduced the web version of its app in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand for Snapchat Plus subscribers. However, in September it became open to all. The app’s web version can only be used with the Chrome browser.

Snapchat teams up with Amazon

In addition, Snapchat and Amazon have teamed up to provide consumers with a virtual try-on experience. After Snapchat made various enhancements to entice the companies, collaboration followed. Some companies that have worked with the firm include MAC Cosmetics, Ultra Beauty, American Eagle, Puma, Chanel, Walmart, and LVMH.
