Tim Cook’s salary in 2023
Tim Cook received a substantial compensation package for the fiscal year 2023 totalling $63.2 million, or almost Rs 523 crore. That’s a lot of money, but it’s really less than what he made in 2022. Why? Yes, it was deliberate. Following a suggestion from Apple’s compensation committee, Cook asked for a 40% decrease in his overall compensation.
Cook’s 2023 salary was revealed to contain the following in a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC): Base pay of $3 million, Awards for stocks: $47 million
Compensation for non-equity incentives: $10.7 million, Additional payment: $2.5 million.
With the same base pay of $3 million, Cook’s total compensation in 2022 was $99.4 million.
Salaries of other CEOs
The salary figures of other CEOs, such as Satya Nadella of Microsoft, are comparable. The Register reports that Nadella earned $48.5 million in 2023. Google CEO Sundar Pichai got a stunning $226 million in 2022.
