WhatsApp: Meta–owned biggest messaging platform WhatsApp is crashing when the android users are clicking on a link. Android users are facing a new bug in the recent version of WhatsApp. When android users are clicking on the link “wa.me/settings”, android users are facing a sudden crash on their mobile phones. The bug was first discovered by Pandya Mayur who shared it on twitter with others. Later, the bug was explained by Brute Bee.
As per Android Authority, this bug is only causing on Android version of WhatsApp either it is business or consumer version. iOS users are not facing any such bug while using WhatsApp.
How To Prevent WhatsApp from Crashing Through This Link
This link is impacting android users on a large scale. Although, a temporary one. But there is an escape to this bug, deleting all the chats completely can help by preventing your mobile phones to crash through this link. According to the XDA developers those who are affected by the link can go to the WhatsApp web through a browser, search for the affected chat and delete the problem link.
On the other side, Meta owned WhatsApp is giving iPhone users a feature to use one WhatsApp account on multiple devices, a month after launching “Companion Mode” which enables iPhone users to link their WhatsApp accounts on multiple devices at one point of time.
