WhatsApp: Meta-owned, messaging app, WhatsApp has recently added a new feature to allow users to block unknown contacts or spam more easily. The parent company of WhatsApp, Meta updated the messaging software extensively in 2023 as it added new capabilities in WhatsApp last year, including screen sharing which enables users to modify sent messages and the feature to send and receive high-definition videos and photographs. In 2024, the Meta is also expected to bring new features to the messaging platform. However, in a recent development, WhatsApp has got a new feature that increases the accessibility of the messaging app.
Block From Lockscreen
In a recent post on its official X handle, WhatsApp has recently shared that now users will be able to directly block unknown contacts and spam from their lock screen. The new feature will allow users to block those accounts that they don’t need even without unlocking their phone.
How to Block Spam and Unknown Contacts: Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Open WhatsApp, Click on three dots or more options.
Step 2: Tap on the Settings menu.
Step 3: Then Tap on the Privacy option.
Step 4: Navigate to the Block contacts option.
Step 5: Tap the “Add” option displayed on the screen.
Step 6: Search for the account or unknown contact you want to block.
