WhatsApp: The instant messaging app to soon allow users to share voice notes as status updates

WhatsApp: According to reports, WhatsApp, the instant messaging service owned by Meta, is developing a new feature for its customers. The business might soon make voice notes shareable as status updates. Users can currently post photos and videos as status updates on WhatsApp. However, according to a report, it is currently trying to make it possible to attach voice notes to your status update. For iOS users, the capability has been seen working in WhatsApp.

About the new WhatsApp feature

Users will be able to add voice notes up to 30 seconds long to their status updates, according to the article. Similar to a WhatsApp chat, if you don’t enter any content in this section, a microphone icon will appear. It also states that only the contacts a user chooses to share their voice status updates with will receive them.

Within the privacy settings, they can pick and choose the contacts. According to the source, voice notes transmitted as a status update would be completely secured.

Another feature the messaging app will soon launch

According to reports, The company is developing a Screen Lock feature that will prompt users for a password each time they open the app. When a user isn’t using a device running WhatsApp, it will add an extra layer of security and prevent unauthorized access.
