Whatsapp Update: Meta has recently introduced a new security feature for its messaging platform WhatsApp. The new features significantly the security during call in the messaging app, this new addition is intented to prevent users from potential location tracking by malicious hacker.
The new feature works by preventing the user’s IP address during calls with supplementing it with an added layer of shield against malicious attacks.
According to the WABetaInfo, a credible source for WhatsApp Update, the messaging platfom has started rolling out the new privacy call relay feature in order to select a group of beta testers. Beta version users can find the new feature in the “Advanced” section” which is recently inducted into the privacy settings menu in the app. After enabling “Protect IP adress in call” option users can significantly reduce the chances of getting trapped in any malicious privacy attack.

Although, the new feature is a appreciable step by WhatsApp, it will make a big improvement in call quality of the messaging platform accounting to the routing and enryption processes made neccessary by the feature as all the calls are routed via WhatsApp servers.
