The new feature works by preventing the user’s IP address during calls with supplementing it with an added layer of shield against malicious attacks.

According to the WABetaInfo, a credible source for WhatsApp Update, the messaging platfom has started rolling out the new privacy call relay feature in order to select a group of beta testers. Beta version users can find the new feature in the “Advanced” section” which is recently inducted into the privacy settings menu in the app. After enabling “Protect IP adress in call” option users can significantly reduce the chances of getting trapped in any malicious privacy attack.
