X: The social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, announced on Tuesday that it will test a new membership plan in which basic functions will cost $1 (about Rs. 83) per year. Read on to learn more about this move.

Users will only be able to post and follow followers if they choose not to enrol in this plan. That is to say, following Bluetick, it may be argued that Musk is prepared to startle the public once more. Musk has also launched a testing service for this in the Philippines and New Zealand.

Fake accounts on the platform
