Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime launch on September 3

Xiaomi is preparing to debut the Redmi 10 Prime, their latest smartphone under the Redmi brand. The low-cost gadget will be the company’s straight successor to the Redmi 9 Prime.

Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain has already announced that the smartphone will make its debut in India on September 3 at 12:00 noon.

The Chinese manufacturer has already begun teasing the Redmi 10 Prime on its social media handles. Also, the brand has created a dedicated microsite for the launch of Redmi 10.

As per the website, Redmi 10 Prime will feature a MediaTek chipset, an adaptive refresh rate display and a big battery.

The Redmi 10 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. It sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate that is adjustable between 45Hz, 60Hz, and 90Hz.

The Redmi 10 packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support and 9W reverse wired charging. The phone runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and boasts a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

The Redmi 10 opts for a quad-camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor at the helm. The main camera is paired with an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, a 2 MP macro unit, and a 2 MP depth sensor.

Additionally, the hole-punch cutout on the display houses an 8 MP selfie shooter. The Redmi 10 also features dual speakers with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Redmi 10 Prime price in India is yet to be revealed. However, it is likely to be in line with global pricing of the Redmi 10 that arrived at $179 (roughly Rs. 13,300) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.

The company has confirmed that it will make the smartphones available on Amazon.in, in addition to mi.com and offline stores.
