Animal Viral Video: A tense standoff between a male elephant and a safari truck in South Africa’s Pilanesberg National Park has terrified guests ducking between seats. Videos from the incident show a bull elephant using his trunk to raise and lower the 22-seat truck multiple times before letting it fall.
Driver’s Desperate Attempt to Deter Elephant
In an attempt to scare the elephant away, the driver can be heard yelling for it to “go away” and smacking his hand against the side of the vehicle. The group of South Africans from the region were on a tour when they approached the elephant bull too closely for photos. At that point, the big animal turned hostile and started to approach the safari truck.
Elephant’s Display of Aggression
The elephant is seen in the footage from the scene raising the front part of the car with its tusks before letting it fall to the ground. The video contains sounds of screaming. Although no one was harmed in the incident, the park provided counselling to those who were most alarmed.
