Connect trailer out: The eagerly awaited Connect official trailer has finally been out. Nayanthara plays the lead in this forthcoming horror thriller. At midnight on December 9, Friday, the trailer was posted to Rowdy Pictures' official YouTube channel. The eagerly anticipated film, directed by Ashwin Saravanan, is planned for release on December 22 of this year. It's interesting to note that Connect will become the first Tamil movie ever to open in theatres without an intermission.
The intriguing official trailer for Connect shows the contented existence of a nuclear family made up of an elderly father, his teenage daughter, and a couple played by Nayanthara and Vinay Rai. After the lockdown starts, their ostensibly "regular" life is turned on its head as their daughter's behaviour abruptly alters. The character Susan, played by Nayanthara, is seen in the trailer attempting to determine the cause of the ongoing disruption that occurs during her work calls, which prompts her to make a revelation about her daughter. Later, when her husband—a doctor—is away from the house performing work for Covid, Susan is seen attempting to control the situation and save her daughter with the aid of her father and an exorcist.
The Connect trailer is an immersive experience thanks to Manikantan Krishnamachary's superb visualisation and Prithvi Chandrasekhar's entrancing background tune. It is clear from the teaser that the eagerly anticipated film will revolutionise how Tamil cinema approaches horror thrillers.
