Cricket Viral Video: Jasprit Bumrah castles England with BRILLIANT six wicket haul, leaves batters tumbling | Watch Video

Cricket Viral Video: In the first ODI against England at Kennington Oval in July 2022, Jasprit Bumrah delivered an outstanding performance with the ball. He was unstoppable with the new ball and managed to take four wickets during the powerplay overs, three of which included ducks. Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian team, won the toss and elected to bowl, hoping to make the most of the overcast conditions. Bumrah and his bowling partner, Mohammed Shami, lived up to the captain’s expectations and put on an impressive display.

Bumrah’s lethal bowling against England

With a remarkable display of pace bowling, the then 28-year-old fast bowler achieved his first six-wicket haul in ODIs, dismantling England’s batting order and restricting the hosts to just 110 runs. He made history by becoming the first Indian pacer to take six wickets in ODIs on English soil. Moreover, this was the finest bowling performance by any Indian bowler against England, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Right from his first over, Bumrah showcased his lethal form as he got rid of the out-of-form Jason Roy without conceding a run. Even the run-machine of Test cricket, Joe Root, could not replicate his red-ball success in ODIs and suffered a similar fate as he was dismissed on a duck by Bumrah in the same over. The English batting mainstay was caught off-guard by a short ball and edged it to Rishabh Pant behind the stumps.

Bumrah’s rampage did not stop there as he struck again in his second over, dismissing Jonny Bairstow for just seven runs. However, the highlight of his performance was the dismissal of Liam Livingstone, which was undoubtedly the best of the lot.

Bumrah’s remarkable performance of 6/19 is the third-best figures for India in ODIs. The top spot belongs to Stuart Binny, who took 6/4 against Bangladesh, and the second spot is held by legendary Anil Kumble, who took 6/12 against West Indies.
