‘I Feel Shy About…’ Pawan Kalyan Speaks On Not Promoting His Films, Hari Hara Veera Mallu Actor Once Felt He Would Die – Know Why!

Tollywood superstar and politician Pawan Kalyan is well-known for staying away from film promotions, both on social media and at events. The actor recently broke this streak by attending a rare press meet in Hyderabad to talk about his upcoming film Hari Hara Veera Mallu (HHVM).

Addressing the media, Pawan clarified that his absence from promotional activities is not due to arrogance but personal discomfort.

Pawan Kalyan Explains His Approach To Promotions

During the event, Pawan candidly shared, “It feels a little odd to talk without a podium. I can’t remember the last time I promoted a film with the press. I feel shy about beating my own drum and talking about my films. It’s not out of arrogance. I just don’t know what to say. But I decided to speak about this film today for (producer) AM Rathnam garu.”

The actor further called himself an “accidental actor” and revealed how his early struggles shaped his current approach. He said, “When they asked me to dance on a bus in Suswagatham, I thought I would die. I told my sister-in-law (brother Chiranjeevi’s wife Surekha) I can’t act anymore. When I began my career, I was called unsellable. Magazines wouldn’t even publish my photos. So, I got used to not taking part in publicity for my films.”

Pawan Kalyan Gives Honest Take On Fame

Pawan Kalyan admitted that while his political career has made him a known face, he doesn’t consider himself as visible or media-savvy as his industry peers. He also added that he is not a talkative person unless the subject is politics. Sharing his philosophy about films, he remarked, “If a film is good, you don’t need to talk about it. If it’s bad, you don’t need to do it anyway.”

This rare insight into his personality will strike a chord with fans, who admire his straightforward nature and dedication to his craft rather than to publicity stunts.
