Karan Johar CONFIRMS Dhadak 2 Trailer Launch Tomorrow, Can It Win The Hype Battle Against Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardaar 2?

Karan Johar has officially confirmed that the Dhadak 2 trailer will release tomorrow. As we all know, Ajay Devgn’s action-packed Son of Sardaar 2 trailer is also dropping on the same day. Now, it would be interesting to see which film will grab the most buzz online.

While Dhadak 2 focuses on romance and intense emotions, Son of Sardaar 2 promises action and laughs. The two trailers will go head-to-head on social media. 

Karan Johar Confirms Dhadak 2 Trailer Launch With New Poster

On Thursday, Karan Johar teased fans with a brand-new poster of Dhadak 2. In the poster, Triptii Dimri is seen hugging Siddhant Chaturvedi tightly. 

Both characters look tense and emotional. Another part of the poster shows Siddhant tied to a railway track, crying for help. Sharing the poster on Instagram, Karan wrote, “Their love echoes loud in every धड़क! ❤️ #Dhadak2 trailer out tomorrow.”

Dhadak 2 is directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film is not a direct sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak, but it continues the emotional and social themes. The original Dhadak starred Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter and was a Hindi remake of the Marathi hit Sairat.

This time, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri take the lead. Their pairing promises a deeper and more intense story that explores social themes.

Director Shashank Khaitan, who directed the first Dhadak, is also excited about this new chapter. Speaking to News18 Showsha, he said, “I’m extremely happy. I’m sure that it’s going to be a very, very powerful story. I’m also excited about young actors coming up and telling social stories. I’m really looking forward to Dhadak 2.”

Siddhant Chaturvedi Plays Small Town Character In The Film

For Siddhant Chaturvedi, Dhadak 2 is special. Known mostly for his urban roles, Siddhant will play a small-town character for the first time. Talking to NDTV, he shared, “We have made a really strong and rooted film. Usually, I have been approached for urban roles, but I come from Ballia, a small town in UP, and this is my first time exploring such a genre.”

He added, “I’m very excited, it’s a wonderful script with an amazing co-actress, Triptii. I wish I could share more, but for now, I’ll let the trailer do the talking. It will be out very soon this year. Fingers crossed.”

Dhadak 2 is all set to hit theatres on August 1, 2025.
