The film, acclaimed as one of the finest Spider-Man cinematic ventures, experienced a dip of 13% on its second day owing to new local releases. However, the upcoming weekend promises a significant uplift in its earnings. Typically, animated movies in India gain momentum during the weekend, and this film is projected to follow suit.
Miles Morales Set to Outdo Predecessor at the Indian Box Office
The first instalment of this Spider-Man series netted approximately Rs 9 crores, a record the sequel is poised to eclipse by the end of its third day. With the sale of over 40,000 pre-release tickets across three national cinema chains, the film is expected to draw large crowds over the weekend, making up for the slower pace during the weekdays.
The Shubman Gill Factor and The Widening Reach of Spider-Man
This iteration of Spider-Man has been made more relatable to the Indian audience with the involvement of renowned cricketer, Shubman Gill. The rising star lent his voice for the Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar, in Hindi and Punjabi, drawing in more viewers. The film's producers have also gone the extra mile by releasing the film in a record-breaking 10 languages, an initiative taken to achieve deeper penetration in the diverse Indian market.

Local Competitor "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke" Poses Minor Setback
The release of local film "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke" has presented some competition for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. Despite the two films having distinct target audiences, the impact of a competing release is undeniable in the dynamic Indian market.
As it stands, the film has netted Rs 4.20 crores on Day 1 and Rs 3.65 crores on Day 2, totalling to Rs 7.85 crores. Internationally, the film is expected to make a staggering $200 million in its extended first weekend.
