Son Of Sardaar 2 Advance Booking Starts! Afraid of Saiyaara Box Office Storm, Ajay Devgn Starrer Offers BOGO Deal, Hopes To…

Ajay Devgn is back with Son of Sardaar 2, the sequel to his 2012 hit. The film is set to release in theatres on August 1, 2025, and the makers have already opened advance bookings. To boost ticket sales on Day 1, the team has introduced a Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) offer. This deal is available in select cinemas and is aimed at drawing large crowds for the opening weekend.

Son Of Sardaar 2 Hopes To Drive Footfalls On Day 1 With BOGO Offer

The special BOGO offer is a smart marketing move by the makers of Son of Sardaar 2. Fans booking one ticket can bring a friend or family member for free on opening day. This strategy could generate buzz, drive group bookings, and lead to packed shows, especially in areas where Ajay Devgn has a strong following. However, trade experts believe this offer may slightly affect overall revenue, particularly in cities where ticket prices are higher.

The biggest challenge for Son of Sardaar 2 is Saiyaara. Released on July 18, the Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer has already made Rs 266 crore in just 12 days. The film’s impressive run at the box office means that it still holds a major share of screens and audience attention. With glowing word-of-mouth and youth appeal, Saiyaara shows no signs of slowing down.

Adding more pressure is War 2, which hits cinemas just a week later on August 8. Starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr., this big-budget action thriller is expected to grab massive screen counts. This makes the one-week window crucial for Son of Sardaar 2 to perform.

Tough Battle For Screens Amid Saiyaara Box Office Craze

Reports say that many single-screen theatres are hesitant to give shows to Son of Sardaar 2. Instead, they are choosing to continue with Saiyaara and the animated film Mahavatar Narsimha from Hombale Films. PVRINOX is reportedly trying to secure four daily shows in non-national chains, but many are unwilling to budge.

This isn’t the first time Ajay Devgn has faced screen count troubles. In 2012, during the release of the first Son of Sardaar, his production company had a legal tussle with YRF over unfair screen blocking for Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Despite the tough competition, Son of Sardaar 2 hopes to ride on Ajay Devgn’s mass appeal. Fans from North India and small towns could show up in big numbers. The film also brings back the comic and family elements that worked well in the first part. But with Dhadak 2 also releasing on the same day, the road ahead looks crowded.
