Actor Tanushree Dutta has shared a heartbreaking video on social media. The former beauty queen, who became a strong voice during India’s #MeToo movement in 2018, said she has been facing harassment in her own home for years.
On Tuesday night, Tanushree posted a video on Instagram. In the clip, she cried while talking about the ordeal she has faced since 2018.

With tears in her eyes, she said, “Guys I am being harassed in my own home. Mujhe mere he ghar mein pareshaan kiya ja raha hai. I just called the cops and they have asked me to visit a police station and lodge a proper complaint. I will probably go tomorrow and do that, I am not keeping well.”
She also added, “Mujhe itna pareshaan kiya gaya hai pichle 4-5 saalo me ki meri tabyet kharab ho gayi hai. I am not able to do anything, my house is a mess. I am being troubled in my own house, please someone help me.”
Tanushree shared another video where strange noises were heard in the background. She wrote, “I have also dealt with loud noises like this and other very, very loud banging noises above my roof and outside my door almost every day at odd hours since 2020! I got tired of complaining to the building management and gave up a few years ago.”
She revealed that the constant stress has ruined her health. She said, “Today I was so unwell, as you guys know I have developed Chronic Fatigue syndrome due to dealing with constant stress and anxiety for last 5 years and this was going on all day and evening way past acceptable and allowed hours! (sic).”
She further said, “Imagine…Yesterday I posted, and today this! Ab samajh jao sab log ki what I\’ve been dealing with. Aur bhi bahut kuch hai jo FIR mein mention karoongi (sic).”
In 2018, Tanushree accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of Horn \’Ok\’ Pleassss. Her statement triggered India’s #MeToo movement. She also alleged that filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri had asked her to “remove clothes and dance” with the late actor Irrfan Khan on the sets of Chocolate. While Patekar was given a clean chit, Agnihotri denied her claims.
Her Personal Life
Many people wonder why Tanushree is still single in her 40s. She was once linked to filmmaker Aditya Datt, who directed Aashiq Banaya Aapne. The relationship did not last. In an earlier interview, she said, “I\’m boringly single. It\’s been almost seven months since I\’ve been in touch with Aditya.”
Speaking about marriage, she shared, “I have always known what I want in my family dynamics, in my friendships. I have clarity, so people like me remain single for a long time till there is something very deep or concrete.”
