Sufi Motiwala has spoken up about his clash with Uorfi Javed on The Traitors. He says their fight wasn’t random, but was created for drama on the show. After their recent Instagram argument, Sufi claimed it was all part of the game plan.
In a chat with SCREEN, Sufi said they were placed together to stir tension. He said, “Uorfi and I are constantly put into situations where we have to interact with each other. At this point, India should be aware that we are sent on a reality show so that we fight, and they have content to watch.”
Sufi Motiwala Says He Apologised To Uorfi Javed
Sufi shared that there’s no real bond between him and Uorfi. He said, “We don’t care about each other, and our personalities don’t gel well.” They only talk when needed for the show.
He also said he tried to make peace early on. “When we entered the show, I apologised to Uorfi… I told her I was sorry because she had to read something because of me.” He hoped they could be “mature adults” and not let the past affect the game.
Sufi said they agreed not to vote against each other. But later, that changed. “In the sixth episode, she started convincing the whole house that I am the Traitor.” He said this move shocked him.
He also spoke about how he’s treated on the show. Sufi added, “When Uorfi and Apoorva get feisty, all these feminist and iconic people love them; when Raftaar and Purav are yelling, all the hetros love them. But as someone from the LGBTQIA+ community… it’s very easy to hate me.”
Sufi claimed Uorfi Javed attacked him just because he’s smart. He also said that being just 21 and not having PR support, he was easy to pick on.
Sufi On The Traitors Cast
Sufi didn’t hold back his opinions on others. He called Apoorva Mukhija “feisty”, Sudhanshu Pandey “old school”, Anshula Kapoor “loud”, and Harsh Gujral “crass”. He said Janvee Gaur was the confusion of the house and said Nikita Luther’s role was “irrelevant”.
On the work front, Sufi Motiwala will be seen next in a non-fiction show produced by Karan Johar. After the drama on The Traitors, it is sure to get attention.
