Many people go to cinemas with hopes of a perfect movie screening experience. Yet theatres promise on-time shows but often cause long waits and frustration. Inox R-City in Ghatkopar failed a Mission Impossible movie screening and angered customers.
This viral video shows how poor planning can hamper the audience's trust and enjoyment. People will now always think twice before booking their next movie screening.
A post made by Ghar ka Kalesh on X a viral video captured that the public waited forty minutes for a Mission Impossible movie screening in Ghatkopar. They heard "five more minutes" each time without any clear update from staff.

Avoid Inox R-city. Traumatizing Experience.
Went for a late night Mission Impossible show yesterday at Inox R-city in Ghatkopar. Show didn't start for 40 mins from schedule time. Till then the Cinema guys kept on saying it will start in 5… pic.twitter.com/RR0KVoZ3Sg
At 11:30 p.m, staff admitted they had technical issues and could not play the movie. However, it was obvious they had no operator to run the movie screening.
The manager then asked people to leave with their popcorn at home. The people asked for refunds, as many canceled their popcorn orders. An aged woman from far away became furious at the rude manager.
In the viral video, immediately after the failure, some audience members blamed a projection machine glitch. However, no ads or trailers were played during their planned movie screening delays.
This shows that the issue went beyond a simple machine fault at the cinema. Staff kept denying that they had an operator, but it was technical. Even though there was no operator to run the KDM reel for that screening.
The separate KDM for adverts also never loaded, confirming the staff shortage explained the delays. Furthermore, in the viral video the staff kept updating false start times without any new information. Therefore, the real problem lies in poor management and staff planning.
After seeing the viral video many people voiced anger online about the failed movie screening and bad management. On X, one user wrote that waiting long without explanation is unfair and disrespectful. Another asked to drag these losers to consumer court over the ruined evening and wasted money.
The manager refused to cancel popcorn orders and rudely told people to carry them home. Customers demanded immediate refunds on the spot and threatened to boycott future screenings at that cinema. This incident shows how one bad show can quickly damage a theatre's reputation.
Inox R-City's failed movie screening caused frustration and distrust among local cinema fans. The viral video led to avoid similar screening failures and delays, as future moviegoers should verify theatre readiness before booking.
