Riverbank baths often carry hidden dangers for livestock in India’s rural heartlands during monsoon months. However, a recent viral video alerts viewers to unexpected predator threats lurking near water edges.
In this shocking clip, a crocodile drags a boy bathing buffaloes into the deep Ghaghra river swiftly. It serves as a stark warning for local villagers to respect marked danger zones immediately.
Local journalist Sachin Gupta recently posted a viral video on X that shows the sudden attack. In Gonda district, 13-year-old Raja Babu alias Nan Yadav briefly bathed a buffalo near Ghaghra bank. The predator suddenly emerges and grips the child’s head as villagers still watch helplessly from afar.

Both the young boy and the crocodile then disappear under the muddy river water with violent thrashing sounds. Rescue teams and villagers launched desperate and thorough searches along the Ghaghra riverbank yesterday afternoon. Officials have not yet located the missing child despite intensive and relentless search efforts throughout the monsoon night.
Search efforts intensified as terror deeply gripped residents after watching the viral video clip online. Families living nearby rushed to riverbanks praying for miraculous and hopeful rescue of the missing boy. Rescue teams bravely waded into the treacherous current with ropes and nets to locate the submerged victim.
Village elders stood anxiously beside rescue points, urging authorities to expand the search perimeter immediately and effectively. Local officials confirmed search operations would continue non-stop until rescuers found the teenage boy safely and resolutely.
The viral video has stirred deep emotions online, with users expressing sorrow, anger, and frustration. One heart-wrenching comment read, “Jis maa-baap ka yeh masoom bachcha hoga, unke dil par kya beet rahi hogi yeh pal dekhkar.” Another questioned the parents’ decision: “Jane kenyon date Bachchan ko nadi kinare unke maa baap.”
Many empathized with the boy’s family, with one writing, “Gareebon par museebatein har taraf se toot padti hain.” A practical voice blamed timing: “Bhains ko nahlaane aise waqt mein nadi par kyun gaya jab itni baarish ho rahi hai? Bhains ko baarish hoti toh nahi laa sakta tha?”
The incident has reignited urgent demands for safety measures near crocodile zones. Officials must install warning signs and increase patrol efforts to avert future riverbank tragedies.
