AIIMS expert Dr. Priyanka Sehrawat explains that reducing sodium intake—especially from processed foods, salty snacks, and restaurant meals—can help control calcium secretion and lower the risk of kidney stones. She recommends keeping daily salt consumption below 5 grams to maintain kidney health and prevent stone formation.
