IPL 2023: When singing sensation Arijit Singh met Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni at the IPL 2023 opening ceremony, it was a joyful moment for cricket fans who saw it LIVE on TV and at the stadium. Once all three artists' performances - Arijit, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tamannaah Bhatia - concluded on Friday evening at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi stadium, captains of the teams in action later that night were welcomed on stage to picture with BCCI dignitaries and performers.

Dhoni, as the visiting captain, was the first to enter and shook hands with everyone on stage. When he arrived to see Arijit, he was pleasantly surprised by the singer's gesture towards him, as the singer caressed Dhoni's feet to express his respects. This tender moment between the two has already gone viral on the internet.

Rashmika performed on the Oscar-winning 'Naatu Naatu' from RRR

Arijit, Tamannaah, and Rashmika have already lit the stage on fire with their performances. Arijit was invited to perform first by the gala event's host, Mandira Bedi. He sang all of his popular songs and new tracks for almost 25 minutes, from 'Jhoomey Jo Pathaan' to 'Kabira' to 'Kesariya,' and completed his fantastic act with 'Jeetega Jeetega India Jeetega,' while the fans were completely entertained. Tamannaah entertained the audience with 'Oo Antavaa' and other songs, while Rashmika performed on the Oscar-winning 'Naatu Naatu' from RRR. Needless to mention, she stunned everyone by performing 'Srivalli' from her own film 'Pushpa: The Rising'. Of course, there was a game to be played that night. Gujarat Titans got off to a great start in the IPL 2023 opening, defeating CSK by 5 wickets to earn their first points. GT also won their first game on home soil while defeating CSK for the third time in the IPL.
