Pravesh Kumari’s family has accused the doctor of negligence. Reports suggest that the 60-year-old woman was brought to the hospital around noon on Tuesday. Despite the urgency of the situation, the doctor reportedly did not attend to the patient directly. Instead, he allegedly instructed a nurse to handle the case, even as the family pleaded for assistance. Despite repeated requests, the doctor was said to have ignored them, remaining distracted with his phone.
The Mainpuri viral video, recorded by the hospital's CCTV camera, has painted a grim picture of the doctor's actions. The footage reportedly shows the doctor sitting idly in his chair, engrossed in his mobile phone, while nurses attended to the patient. This stark contrast between the doctor's inaction and the nurses' attempt to save the woman's life, captured on the CCTV camera, has intensified the public outrage surrounding the incident.
The Mainpuri viral video has taken social media by storm, with numerous users expressing their disgust and disbelief. Many took to the comments section to share their thoughts, with one user commenting, “Indians need discipline that comes from fear. PERIOD.” Another wrote, “Increase the number of doctors. Doctors need some rest. They are not machines.” A third user called for strict action, saying, “The head of the doctor should take strict action and terminate him.” Meanwhile, another individual expressed concern about the consequences, stating, “Indian bureaucracy will try to blame reels and let the doctor go scot-free.”
In response to the growing outrage, the Chief Medical Superintendent of Mainpuri District Hospital confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation had been initiated. He assured the public that strict action would be taken if the doctor was found guilty. The higher authorities have also been informed about the situation, and the case is under scrutiny.
