Maths Exam QR Code: In a now viral video, a young girl could be seen sharing the fact that the QR code that was printed on a paper of the Central Board of Secondary Education led her to a song ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ by Rick Astley.

The Class 12 mathematics paper had this wrong QC code that brought laughs on social media platforms. It is still not clear whether all CBSE Class 12th exam papers carried the same link or was it a specific set of mathematics paper that carried the wrong link.

According to posts by several students on social media, scanning the paper’s QR code opened the ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ music video by Rick Astley. The claims soon gained traction on popular forums such as Reddit where many students posted reactions and screenshots.

Several students also claimed that the QR code on many question papers of CBSE redirected them to alphabet markers such as “A” instead of any external video or link.

Clarification By CBSE

CBSE issued a notification and ‘accepted’ that there might have been an error regarding the QR code but stated that the question papers were indeed genuine.
