A video of this incident was shared on X by “TRUE STORY.” The caption of the viral video states, “After a video of a class 9 student returning from college being molested and then beaten up in public went viral in Meerut, UP, the police arrested the molester Mehboob in an encounter. Mehboob was shot in the leg.”

In the disturbing footage, Mehboob can be seen dragging the girl by her hair and hitting her while she screamed for help. Shockingly, no bystanders stepped in to assist the victim during the attack.

Taking immediate action, the Uttar Pradesh police arrested Mehboob following an encounter. The accused was shot in the leg during the operation and was later taken into custody. Meerut police confirmed the development on X, sharing details of the encounter.
