Heated Argument Inside Mumbai Local Train
The viral video is shared by the Times Now news channel on its official Instagram page. It shows the incident inside the ladies’ compartment of the Mumbai local train. Two ladies get involved in a verbal battle over language issues yet again. The lady in the viral video demands that the other person speak in Marathi as she resides in Maharashtra. She boldly says, “Marathi bol, maza Maharashtra hai“. To which the other lady claims, “Kaha pe likha hein? Tum kaun hoti ho, mein bhi idhar ki hi hu, nehi bolna hein, kiu bolu?“.
As they constantly verbally accuse each other, both put on the mobile camera to capture each other. The Marathi woman says she is going to live to expose the other woman, and the other woman also does the same. The baby on the lap left crying due to this sudden heated argument.
Train Dispute Triggers Online Reactions
People are getting entirely disgusted by this forceful imposition of language and subsequent disputes. They say, “Trains are for travel, not for policing languages. Respect is earned, not enforced.”
Pondering on the Karma factor and the issues of migrant students/workers, one thus wisely says, “Felt sad for the baby girl sitting in her lap knowing nothing and one day she migrates and then gets policed the same way her mother did to this girl! Karma comes back always!“.
Considering the trivial matter they choose to fight in, people are saying “wish they fought against corruption in this manner. Bad roads, education, healthcare, bogus voting, etc, topics are ignored“.
The Constitution of India gives the right to all its citizens to talk freely in their mother tongue. Thus, netizens are taking such language policing entirely unnecessary. They say, “Kal Ko Ye Kahenge Visa Dikhao Passport dikhao apne desh mein Jane k liye. In logo ko bhi allowed nhi hona chahiye out of Maharashtra to work“.
By looking at the condition of the poor crying baby on her lap, they can’t help but say “Her daughter is also looking at her and wondering…What is wrong with This WOMAN? YE MERI .MAA NAHI HO SAKTI..”
Language Debate Intensifies In Maharashtra
This fresh viral video from Maharashtra is putting an extra layer on the ongoing language disputes. Apart from the constant language disputes we get to see in South India, now Maharashtra has become a fresh spot for these outrages.
Considering the repeated cases of these disputes, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey openly condemns these language-based attacks. He points out that Mumbai belongs to all Indians and not just Marathi people.
