Bharat Jodo Yatra: ‘Women power takes India forward,’ slogans raised as all-female march in Haryana

Bharat Jodo Yatra: On Monday, as the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi entered Haryana, an all-female trek was witnessed.

“Women’s strength advances the nation… She is advancing the #BharatJodoYatra by travelling at the same pace as @RahulGandhi ji today. The Congress party stated on Twitter that “women power” was the focus of today’s Bharat Jodo Yatra day.

Rahul Gandhi and his female followers may be seen walking together in a video that the Congress also released.

Not the first time the Yatra has a day dedicated to women

Rahul Gandhi marked Mahila Sashaktikaran Diwas earlier in December by continuing his Bharat Jodo Yatra with women as they travelled towards the Peepulwada in the Sawai Madhopur district in Rajasthan.

On November 19, the former prime minister Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary, a similar event took place.

While receiving her brother in Uttar Pradesh earlier this week, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was seen criticising the government over worries over women’s safety.
The Tricolor will be hosted in Srinagar on January 30 to mark the end of the march, according to the programme. It is planned to pass through Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab before entering Jammu & Kashmir. Then, starting on January 26, Congress will begin the two-month-long “Haath se Haath Jodo Yatra,” which will particularly target youngsters. Jairam Ramesh, the general secretary of the party, has declared that conferences and rallies would be held at the state level, as well as at the village, block, and district levels.
