An FIR against Amitabh Bachchan and makers of KBC-12.
The question asked by Amitabh Bachchan on his game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’ has not gone down well with some people on the internet.
An FIR has been registered against Big B and the show makers for “hurting Hindu sentiments” in Lucknow for a question during Friday’s ‘Karamveer’ episode, ZeeNews reported.
The question for Rs 6,40,000 was:
On 25 December 1927, Dr. BR Ambedkar and his followers burned copies of which scripture?
The options given were:
a) Vishnu Purana, b) Bhagavad Gita, c) Rigdev, and d) Manusmriti.
Social activist Bezwada Wilson and actor Anup Soni were on the hot to answer the question.
The answer to the question is Manusmriti and after announcing it, Amitabh Bachchan said in Hindi that In 1927, Dr BR Ambedkar condemned the ancient Hindu text Manusmriti and also burned copies of it.
Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri also shared a clip from the KBC show on the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, "KBC has been hijacked by Commies. Innocent kids, learn this is how culture wars are win. It’s called coding."
Several other users accused the show of running a "leftist propaganda", while others said the show had "hurt Hindu sentiments".
