Haryana cop killed by mining mafia in Nuh

On Monday, a Haryana Police officer was killed by the mining mafia. Taoru DSP Surendra Singh died when a truck ran over him, he died on the spot and his body was in the garbage bin. He was killed near Nuh’s Pachgaon.

After he received a tip-off, the officer had gone to conduct a raid at Taudu hill where the illegal mining was being done. An eyewitness who was present where the mishap took place said that DSP was standing near his official vehicle when he called out the dumper driver to stop, which was carrying illegal quarrying material. But, the driver didn’t stop and ran the truck over the DSP.

After crushing the DSP to death, the driver ran away. However, the police has launched a manhunt to catch the accused.

After the gruesome killing of DSP Surendra, the Haryana police issued a statement expressing and extending condolences to his family.

State government blamed by Congress

In a reaction to the incident, Congress blamed the BJP-led government – Haryana CM Manoharlal Khattar – and questioned the law and order situation of the state. Haryana Congress tweeted that “ML Khattar, what did you turn our state into? Neither MLAs are safe here, nor the police. What will happen to the general public? It’s very sad news. May his soul rest in peace and we pray that his family get justice soon.”
