This extraordinary viewership has established it as the highest-recorded live stream on YouTube to date.
Prime Minister Modi’s Ayodhya Event Outshines Previous Records
The live coverage of PM Modi attending the ‘Pran Pratishtha of Shri Ram in Ayodhya’ on his official YouTube channel garnered over 10 million views, while the live stream specifically focusing on the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony received an additional 9 million live views. This impressive feat has surpassed all previous records set by live streaming events such as the Chandrayaan-3 launch, a FIFA World Cup 2023 match, and an Apple launch event.
During the live stream, Prime Minister Modi was captured walking within the temple premises, adorned in a golden kurta paired with a cream dhoti and patka, holding a silver ‘chattar’ (umbrella) over a red folded dupatta. The PM participated in the “sankalp” for the ‘pran pratishtha ceremony’ and later proceeded to the sanctum sanctorum for the ritualistic proceedings.
