Weather Updates: Isolated Heavy To Very Heavy Rainfall Could Occur All Over Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal.

Weather Updates: Over the next two days, there will likely be less rain in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. During the next few days, it is anticipated that numerous eastern states may see significant rain.
A new period of increased rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy showers is expected to start across Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal on September 20, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). It will also extend to other east-central and eastern areas of the country throughout the next three to four days.

Heavy Rainfall Anticipated in Western Himalaya Region

Heavy downpours are anticipated in the Western Himalayan region, encompassing Uttarakhand and some areas of Uttar Pradesh, through September 21. “Fairly Widespread/Widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh on September 17; Uttarakhand on September 17 and 21 and over; and East Uttar Pradesh on September 17, 20 and 21,” the IMD stated in its weather bulletin.

The eastern section of India, which includes Odisha and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, as well as some areas of the western region, are expected to see similar meteorological conditions. On September 18, there will likely be significant downpours over the Madhya Maharashtra ghat regions, continuing through September 21, over Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha on September 20 and 21, and over Jharkhand on September 20.

Andaman and Nicobar too may experience heavy rainfall

Up until September 20, Andaman and Nicobar Islands are also predicted to have heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning. On September 21 and 22, a few isolated areas of very heavy rainfall are expected over Odisha.

Over a number of northeastern states, precipitation is anticipated. Fairly On September 18 and 19, it is highly possible that Assam and Meghalaya will get widespread light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy rains, thunderstorms, and lightning. On September 19, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura will experience the same. Over the next five days, the MeT Department predicts moderate rainfall activity over Northeast India and the South Peninsular.
