As per media reports, the tragic accident occurred on Sunday (March 2) in the Unchahar Bazaar area of Raebareli, along the Lucknow-Prayagraj National Highway. A flower-adorned SUV, which was on its way to pick up a groom for a wedding, crashed into a motorcycle carrying two men. The force of the hit and run accident sent them flying nearly 15 feet into the air before they crashed onto an e-rickshaw.

Despite the shocking impact, the two men on the motorcycle survived. However, they sustained serious injuries and were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The Raebareli viral video has reignited concerns about reckless driving and the urgent need for stricter road safety measures.

Raebareli Police Take Action After Viral Video

After the hit and run video went viral, the Raebareli police responded swiftly. On March 3, 2025, they released a statement on X addressing the accident. The Area Officer of Salon issued a video statement, confirming that the SUV involved in the accident has been seized by Unchahar Police Station.

The police statement reads, "The vehicle involved in the incident has been taken into police custody by the Unchahar Police Station. The injured person is under treatment at the district hospital. The complainant is in contact with the Unchahar Police Station. Legal action will be taken upon receiving the written complaint."
