UK: Rishi Sunak draws criticism for asking this to a homeless man| Watch

UK: British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak came under fire for enquiring about a homeless man’s “job in business” and desire to enter the finance sector at a charity. One of the richest persons in Britain and a former Goldman Sachs banker, Rishi Sunak, was criticised for being out of the loop.

Rishi Sunak was serving breakfast at a homeless shelter in London when the incident happened, and he struck up a conversation with a man who introduced himself as Dean.

“Do you work in business?” During the conversation, Rishi Sunak questioned the man as he brought him a platter of sausages, bread, and eggs.

“No, I’m homeless. I’m actually a homeless person,” the man answered.

Opposition slams Rishi Sunak

Angela Rayner, the deputy leader of the opposition Labour Party, tweeted a tape of the conversation and called it “excruciating,” while Bill Esterson, another Labour legislator, branded Rishi Sunak “out of touch.”

When the homeless man asked Rishi Sunak whether he was “sorting the economy out,” an awkward conversation with him ensued. The homeless man then expressed interest in business and finance, to which Rishi Sunak responded that he also had experience in the field before enquiring, “Is that something you would like to get into?”

Dean responded, “Yeah, I wouldn’t mind. But I don’t know, I’d like to get through Christmas first.”
