A Russian woman compares her marriage to be as divine as the relationship between Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu. She shows her own interpretation of the duties of an ideal wife.
Her actions while driving widespread appreciation from netizens also triggered some so-called feminists. This raises the question whether such devotional acts are limited to a particular gender, as our culture teaches us to be reciprocal in marriages, too.
Russian Woman Chooses to Personalise Lakshmi-Vishnu Analogy
The clip of the Russian lady showing complete devotion to her Indian husband is getting viral on the internet. As it is shared on X, it receives instant views, likes, and pools of comments.
“Russian woman said she wants to serve her husband like Goddess Lakshmi serves Vishnu. As expected, Indian feminists and simps got triggered in comments! pic.twitter.com/ZCE26BaU2j

In the caption of the video, she wrote, “I also want to serve my Husband the way Devi Laxmi serves Vishnu Ji”.
Cultural Reference Draws Mixed Reactions Online
But seeing a foreign lady lovingly performing the duties of a wife seems to become an eyesore for many feminists. Some are flagging the video as “this looks more reelistic than realistic” and “patriarchal mindset”.
They note that we are forgetting our culture while Westerners are learning it, embracing it and benefiting. One user reflecting on the opposition from the feminists said, “She spoke strength they can’t handle. Modern weakness hates ancient loyalty”.
It is clear in our ancient texts and epics that the relationship between husband and wife should be based on mutual respect. So, if the wife shows complete devotion, just like the goddess Lakshmi, the husband also needs to offer her respect and protection, just like Lord Vishnu.
