Viral Animal Video: The Florida Keys are known for their beautiful marine life, and at Robbie’s Marina, an attraction offers visitors the unique opportunity to hand-feed giant tarpon. These majestic creatures are considered “relatively safe” to feed due to their lack of sharp teeth. However, a recent viral video captured a heart-pounding moment when a little girl’s encounter with one of these tarpons took an unexpected turn.
An unforgettable feeding attempt
The video which was shared on the Instagram page of ladbible showcases a little girl lying on a dock near a river holding a piece of fish in her hand to feed a tarpon. With confidence, she taps the water’s surface with more fish as bait, just above the water.
People watching are excited to see what will happen. Suddenly, a huge tarpon fish comes out of the water very fast and grabs the bait. It takes a big bite, nearly swallowing half of the girl’s hand. The fish tries to pull her hand, but she stays calm and doesn’t panic.
A miraculous escape from Tarpon
In a very nerve-wracking moment, the big fish lets go of the girl’s hand and goes back into the water. The girl checks her hand, still surprised by what just happened.
One user commented, “What a irresponsible parent.” Another user commented, “Maybe just throw it in.” One of them commented, “The only thing the parent is making sure off is to caught it in camera.”
