Viral Video: Most people take their new vehicle to the temple for the "Vahan Puja" ceremony as soon as they purchase it. The custom of offering prayers for the proper operation of a two-wheeler or four-wheeler, whether it is used for personal or business purposes, is well-established throughout the nation, but you may have never heard of someone bringing a brand-new helicopter to a temple to perform customary rituals. A truly unique incident occurred in Telangana when a businessman brought his Airbus ACH 135 to a temple for "Vahan Puja," which is believed to be worth $5.7 million (or almost Rs 47 crore).

Video went viral

Boinpally Srinivas Rao, proprietor of the Prathima Group, travelled to Yadadri's Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple for a special puja in his recently purchased helicopter. He was accompanied by his family. The rituals were being carried out in front of the helicopter by as many as three priests.

Prathima Group owner was also present

A relative of Srinivas Rao, former Maharashtra governor Vidyasagar Rao, was also present. They later conducted a helicopter sortie around the well-known hill shrine. In addition to operating in the infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, and telecommunications sectors, Prathima Group also owns a medical school and a network of hospitals.
