Viral video: After a span of 95 days, Mohammad Arif, a resident of Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, experienced a heartwarming reunion with his cherished companion, a Sarus crane. The crane had been relocated to Kanpur zoo on April 9, 2023, but Arif's visit on July 14 brought forth a joyous response from the bird. A video posted by TOI shows the heartwarming reunion between the two.

As Arif approached the enclosure, the Sarus crane extended its majestic wings and trotted around, displaying a familiar bobbing of its neck. Overwhelmed with emotion, Arif couldn't help but express his concern for the bird's well-being. He noticed signs of weakness and thinness, igniting his earnest desire for the crane to be released back into its natural habitat rather than remaining confined within the zoo. Arif even pledged to visit the bird daily if given the opportunity.
