Viral Video: BJP MLA Sunil Kamble Allegedly Assaults Constable at Public Event, Incident Captured on Video

Viral Video: On social media, a video purportedly showing BJP Pune Cantonment MLA Sunil Kamble hitting an on-duty constable at a public function at Sassoon General Hospital has gone viral. On Friday, the incident allegedly occurred at a function attended by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Medical Education Minister Hassan Mushrif, and MP Sunil Tatkare, among others.

Staircase Slip and Aggressive Encounter

The footage shows Kamble slipping on the stairs as he exits the function stage. He hits the officer who is standing near the steps aggressively, prompting the constable to react. While the Pune police have not responded, the constable is claimed to be assigned to the Bundgarden police station. According to accounts, Kamble was upset that his name was not listed on the event invite or on the backdrop at the event stage, despite the fact that he is the local MLA. According to allegations, he also assaulted an NCP employee at the same event.

MLA Denies Assault and Explains Staircase Incident

The MLA said, “Why would I assault him? I don’t know him and have no reason to slap him. When I was climbing down from the stage, he fell on me so I pushed him.” He also denied assaulting an NCP employee. Kamble, on the other hand, said that he had sought an explanation from Pune Collector Rajesh Deshmukh as to why his name was not featured on the event invitation despite being the local MLA.
