Viral Video: An unidentified 30-year-old female architect jumped from a moving Rapido bike to escape a taxi driver who sexually assaulted her and attempted to transport her to the wrong destination. The woman booked a Rapido bike to Indiranagar on April 21st at 11:10 p.m. Instead of taking her to her destination, the rider, who took her phone under the guise of checking the OTP, transported her to Doddaballapura.

The woman was able to call a friend for assistance before jumping off

The woman questioned him repeatedly, but he remained silent and drove at a high pace of 60 kmph. The woman snatched her phone back after realising he was inebriated, but the male reclaimed it and molested her. The woman was able to call a friend for assistance before jumping off the fast bike near the BMS Institute of Technology and Management, hurting herself.

The accused was detained and charged with sexual harassment

The woman and her friend arrived at Yelahanka New Town Police Station, where officers responded quickly and addressed the situation in a prompt, cooperative, and polite manner. According to a senior police officer, the accused was detained and charged with sexual harassment, kidnapping, assault, or criminal force against a woman with the goal to offend her modesty and causing harm by acts risking the life or personal safety of others.
