Viral Video: Marriages are considered to be very sacred and it is always a pleasure to see two loving people to be together. However, what distinguishes Indian weddings from other is that they are long, and, thus consist of priceless moments. Indian wedding videos are popular on social media right now and always get cherished from the netizens.

Viral Video divides netizens

One social media video, however, is receiving contrasting responses from internet users. On the mandap, in front of the pandit ji and other wedding guests, the bride and groom are seen kissing in the video.

The video, which was posted on Instagram by the user @witty wedding, begins with the bride and groom looking at each other. Although it appears that the groom would like to kiss his bride, he is too shy to do so in front of his family and pandit. Then all of a sudden, the bride leaned forward and gave him a kiss. The caption for the video says, “Awww it’s totally with love and adorable.”

Trying to copy western culture: Netizens

With lots of views, the video quickly became popular online. Numerous responses to the clip were received from online users. While some users thought it was absolutely adorable, others claimed that it goes against the Indian customs and wasn’t appropriate to do in a mandap.

One of the user wrote, “This is so cute and adorable.” Another user wrote, ” its sad we are forgetting about our tradition and focusing only on western culture…. that’s so sad today’s young generation is not aware of our traditions.” Meanwhile, a third user expressed “Trying to be western culture totally nothing else”
