Viral Video: Dashcam captures heart-wrenching moment ! Plane cuts car in two before plunging into river

Viral Video: A video captured by a dashcam showing the harrowing moment when a passenger plane carrying 58 individuals came to a tragic end after a collision with a car before crashing into a river. On February 4th, 2015, the TransAsia Airways Flight 235 was on its way from Songshan Airport in Taiwan to Kinmen Airport in China.

Moments before the crash

Just a few minutes into the flight, the plane's turboprop engine experienced a severe mechanical failure, followed by a breakdown in communication between the captain, Liao Chien-tsung, and his co-pilot Liu Tze-chung. The pilots, instead of immediately shutting down the malfunctioning engine, tried to make a quick retreat to the airport. However, they lost control and the plane began to nosedive into the Keeling River.

During its descent, the plane hit a bridge and collided with a taxi cab, which was thankfully occupied by only two individuals who were able to escape with minor injuries. Sadly, the crash resulted in the loss of 43 passengers on Flight 235, with only 15 individuals surviving. The tragedy marked the second major incident in just seven months for TransAsia Airways, leading to the eventual closure of the airline.
