Khushboo Patani came out boldly criticising the Aniruddhacharya Maharaj for questioning women’s character. The Aniruddhacharya Maharaj, also known as Pookie Maharaj, often shares his views on love, relationships, and the choices of men and women. On one such spiritual session, he makes a derogatory comment on women, criticising their character for choosing live-in relationships.

Khushboo Patani does not hesitate to point out the sexist comment of the baba by saying he only targets women and never men. She particularly gets offended by the Baba’s remark, “25 saal ki ladki, chaar jagah wo muh maar chuki hein”. Therefore, she boldly slams his patriarchal mentality by saying, “Ladkiya kya akeli muh mar ke ati hein”. She also defines that it is not bad to opt for live-in relationships. It is, in fact, way better than falling trapped inside a bad marriage.
Netizens React to Her Bold Stand
Netizens came out widely supporting her in this case. They are also agreeing with her by saying that, “This baba is extremely sexist, just like all the other babas”. Some are exposing the fraud of such Babas by saying, “baba khud virgin nhi h dusron ko gyan pel rha h paise chapne ke liye ..” and “He is not a Guru , he is just a man who never thinks before speaking”.
On the other hand, though people find the remarks of the Baba offensive, they are also criticising the way Khushboo Patani chooses to defuse him. They say, “This maharaj made an incorrect statement, but this khushboo patani could have disagreed calmly and put her opinion. by calling offensive names, she’s letting herself down instead”. People are finding both to be inappropriate in their remarks. One says wisely that, “What he said was inappropriate. The language she used in response is also inappropriate. Question is: Who is more inappropriate?”.
Khushboo Patani’s bold statement thus has already sparked a massive debate online. While one group is getting vocal about women’s rights and personal freedom, others are pointing out those multiple relationships and live ins are ultimately harming society.
